Where can I eat?
U.Va. Dining offers meal plans designed to be convenient, easy to use, and full of choice. There are more than 18 dining locations on Grounds with hours of service ranging from 7 a.m. to as late as 2 a.m.
Depending on their needs, first-year students who are not student athletes or don't plan to live in a residential college may choose from among three different plans—the Unlimited, the Plus 15, or the Plus 13—for their first semester. Meal plans are also available students who live off Grounds.
In designing the meal plans, U.Va. Dining takes into account students' different dietary needs and preferences. For students who are vegetarian and vegan, meatless entrees are available at all residential dining rooms during each meal period.
If you have a food allergy, you may consult with the on staff nutritionist at no extra charge. And during the fall and spring semesters, O Hill and Newcomb dining rooms offer a kosher menu at the deli counters. Each kosher offering is designed to be an entire meal by itself.

When you want to go off Grounds, you'll have fun exploring the different area restaurants. Charlottesville has a full range of dining choices, with everything from American to classic French, Spanish tapas, and Thai, from Tuscan-style Italian to Vietnamese, sushi, and Mexican.
