The purchase of a Columbarium vault entitles the licensee to perpetual use. The University of Virginia will retain property rights and assumes the responsibility of perpetual care of the Columbarium and the surrounding Cemetery.

In order to purchase a Columbarium vault, you must complete and return the following forms. You have the choice of completing the forms online (pdf. file) and then printing the material or you may print the forms (text file) and complete by hand. You will need to print two copies of the agreement and one copy of the demographic record.

The cost of a vault in Phase II is as follows:

Eligible Faculty, Board of Visitors, Staff, and Students:
$2,900 for middle row vaults
$2,500 for bottom row vaults

Alumni and Friends:
$3,150 for middle row vaults
$2,750 for bottom row vaults

The check will be held until all forms have been approved by the Cemetery Committee. the prices are recommended by the University Cemetery Committee and approved by the University administration.
