Calendar Committee

Charge

Under the Provost's direction, the Calendar Committee prepares and recommends to the President the University's comprehensive academic calendar, and as requested advises the President on calendar issues.

Committee Structure:

The Executive Vice President and Provost shall chair the Council. In addition to the chair, the Council shall be comprised of the following members:

• Three academic deans
• Associate Provost for Academic Support and Classroom Management
• Dean of Admissions
• Director of Summer and Special Academic Programs
• Employee Councils Representative
• Faculty Senate Representative
• Representative from the Office of the President
• Representatives of:
  • University's Athletics Director
  • Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
  • Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer
    
• University Registrar
• UVa Families Board Chair (parent representative)

Two at-large student members shall serve on the Council. Of the two student members, one shall be an undergraduate and one shall be a graduate student.
