Committee on Commencement and Convocations
Charge
The Committee on Commencement and Convocations advises the President on matters related to Final Exercises, Fall Convocation, and other University convocations. The following two subcommittees report to the committee:
Processions Subcommittee:
The Processions Subcommittee is responsible for planning and coordinating the logistics for Final Exercises, Fall Convocation, and certain other University-wide ceremonies as identified by the President.Public Occasions Subcommittee:
The Public Occasions Subcommittee is responsible for providing the President with a list of potential speakers for Final Exercises, Fall Convocation, and certain other University-wide ceremonies as identified by the President.
The Committee reviews issues identified by the chairs of the two Subcommittees and forwards recommendations to the President as appropriate.
Committee Structure
The Committee consists of the following three members:
- Chair of the Processions Subcommittee
- Chair of the Public Occasions Subcommittee
- Executive Vice President and Provost
