Commencement & Convocations Subcommittee - Processions
Charge
The Processions Subcommittee consists of two faculty groups which coordinate the procession and seating for Final Exercises, Fall Convocation, and certain other University-wide ceremonies as identified by the President. The Assembly Group coordinates the academic processions, and the Seating Group is responsible for coordinating the seating of faculty and students. The chair of this Subcommittee serves as a member of the Committee on Commencement and Convocations.
Committee Structure
The Director of Major Events serves as chair. The Assembly and Seating Groups each consist of six faculty members from the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and one faculty member from each of the following schools: Architecture, Continuing and Professional Studies, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Graduate Business, Law, Leadership and Public Policy, Medicine, and Nursing.
