Public Occasions
Charge
The Public Occasions Subcommittee is responsible for providing the President with a list of potential speakers for Final Exercises, Fall Convocation, and certain other University-wide ceremonies as identified by the President. The chair of this Subcommittee serves on the Committee on Commencement and Convocations.
Committee Structure
This Subcommittee consists of:
- Up to 15 faculty/staff members including:
- Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer
- Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs
- Chair, Processions Subcommittee
- Faculty Senate Representative
- Eight student members including:
- Fourth Year Class President
- Honor Committee Chair
- Judiciary Committee Chair
- Student Council President
- Four at-large members
