More than the Score: Designing Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village 9/5/09 - On September 5, 2009, a crowd packed into the Virginia Room at Alumni Hall to hear a talk on "Designing Thomas Jefferson's Academical Village." Richard Guy Wilson, Commonwealth Professor of Architectural History, showed examples of Jefferson's original drawings and how his ideas were shaped through collaboration. Andrea Douglas, curator of the University of Virginia Art Museum, discussed the logistics of bringing a new exhibit on the origins of the Academical Village that opens at the museum this year.
