You have a number of choices for how to experience events posted on this site. Most events are available as an audio stream delivered through the Flash player, as a downloadable MP3, or as streaming video. You can also subscribe to our podcast and get featured events downloaded to your computer or portable MP3 player automatically.
Audio Streams
In order to listen to the audio streams you will need the Macromedia Flash player installed. This player is free and available from Macromedia.

MP3 Downloads
To download an MP3, right click (ctrl click on the Mac) and select "Save As". You will then be able to choose where on your computer to save the file. You will also need software to listen to the MP3. There are many options but Windows Media Player, Real Player, Quicktime, and iTunes are some of the most commonly used applications.
Video Streams
To view a video stream you just click on the link and the video should begin to play. You will need the appropriate video player to view any particular video. Our videos are typically offered in one of these formats: Windows Media Player, Real Player or Quicktime.
Podcast
Podcasting is a service that allows you to receive periodic updates of featured audio content from the University of Virginia. As new features become available they will be automatically downloaded to your computer and/or portable MP3 player. Visit our podcasting page for more information on this service.
