UVA NewsMakers2/16/05 - Alan Shapiro, professor of English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an award-winning poet reads from his book, Song and Dance: Poems, at a Medical Center Hour presentation earlier this year. The book is a collection written about his brother, a notable actor (with Broadway credits, including a starring role in 'Sunset Boulevard' opposite Glenn Close) who died following diagnosis of and treatment for a malignant brain tumor. |
