U.Va. Introductory Politics Class Gets a Guest Lecture from Sen. Hillary Clinton 2/11/08 - Senator Hillary Clinton made a visit to Grounds to visit politics professor Larry Sabato's popular class entitled "PLAP 101: An Introduction to American Politics" on the eve of the Virginia primary. She also fielded questions from Sabato's students, who filled the orchestra section in the jammed auditorium. |

Fall Convocation Kicks Off U.Va.'s Family Weekend Oct. 26-28 10/26/07 - Fall Convocation, which began at 2 p.m. on Friday at University Hall, kicked off the weekend. Dr. Arthur Garson Jr., executive vice president and provost, was the featured speaker. President John T. Casteen III presented intermediate honors to the top 20 percent of students who earned at least 60 credits of course work at U.Va. during their first two years. He also announced the winner of the Thomas Jefferson Award, the highest honor given to a member of the U.Va community. |
