Bike RegistrationU.Va. Police offers online bicycle registration to students, faculty, and staff of the University. A U.Va. Police decal will be sent to you via mail to be placed on your bicycle for further identification and deterrence. If your bicycle is stolen or lost, we will have all the necessary information for a police report and enter in NCIC & VCIN computer systems. If another police department finds the bicycle anywhere in the USA we will be notified. Registering your bicycle is not an insurance policy. It is a tool used to assist in recovering a stolen or lost bicycle. This bicycle file remains on record for 5 years even if you are no longer affiliated with U.Va.. Use the picture below to assist in locating the bicycle's serial number, and the placement of the police decal. If you have any questions, please call our Crime Prevention division at (434) 924-8845. Event RegistrationThe University of Virginia Police Department can assist you in organizing a special event within the U.Va. Community. Services offered include traffic control and security. If you are planning an organized walk or
run, the special event application and map of the route must
be forwarded to: Download and complete the Special Event Application form and mail it along with the route map to Officer Tabler at our Crime Prevention Unit.
