PUBLIC LASER PRINTERS: Laptop Printing
PCS is pleased to provide the following information that will allow you to use our public
printers with your wireless computer.

Please select your operating sytem:

Macintosh OS X 10.4/Tiger 10.5.x/Leopard
Windows Windows XP Vista

After you have added a printer, you can start sending print jobs to it.  Please note that each PCS Public Printer includes a Print Server and card swipe system.  Your print job will not actually be printed until you follow the instructions at the Print Server to print your job. When you arrive at the Print Server you will find your job listed on the screen by file name and either your computer user name (If configured on your system) or your computer’s IP Address.

The Print Server will automatically delete all jobs not printed within 60 minutes.

PCS offers these instructions as a basic guide to connect your wireless computer to our printers. You can view the schedule of support services at:

Libraries:
http://www2.lib.virginia.edu/equipment/laptops.html

iusr_pcs-plp.pcs.virginia.edu". You will need to locate your print job by its file name, so please take note of it when printing.)
