Virginia Foundation for the Humanities

Legislative Advocacy

Because the VFH provides services to citizens across the Commonwealth, VFH receives funding from both the General Assembly of Virginia and the National Endowment for the Humanities, a federal agency. Without that crucial support, the Virginia Foundation would not be able to provide many of the services and programs we currently offer.

It is very important that our elected officials know the impact of these funds. Please visit, call, e-mail, fax or write your General Assembly Delegates and Senators, the Governor and other administration officials, and members of Virginia’s Congressional Delegation to let them know how valuable VFH programs are to you and your community.
