All University Planning Retreat

The University-wide retreat on September 18 officially launched the strategic planning process that will position the University for achieving excellence in four areas: fine and performing arts; international activities; public service and outreach; and science and engineering. More than 150 members of the University community attended the retreat, which began with remarks from University President John Casteen and Stanford president emeritus Donald Kennedy. Focus group sessions provided participants with the opportunity to ask questions, raise issues, and voice concerns on the four planning initiatives.
