Objectives

The Alumni Diversity Advisory Coummittee (ADAC) was created by the Office of the Vice President and Chief Officer for Diversity and Equity as a collaborative initiative with the following objectives:

• To gain information and insight from former students regarding ways to make the University of Virginia a more diverse welcoming environment;

• To consider their experiences in refining methods that will increase cross-racial discussion and interactions among the current UVA student body;

• To develop approaches for identifying and communicating with prospective future students; and,

• To explore initiatives that will increase the involvement of alumni of color in various University activities and functions.
