Areas of Engagement - Partner Institutions
The opportunity exists to build healthy mutually beneficial relationships between U.Va. and various Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's), both in Virginia and beyond. These positive arrangements can open up pathways for greater enrollment of African American students from HBCU's in U.Va.'s graduate and professional programs and may also encourage joint institutional faculty research projects. Similar initiatives will also be pursued with Hispanic-Serving Institutions and with Tribal Colleges to increase the representation of Hispanic and American Indian students in the University population.
