David Hudson received his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Riverside, and his PhD in Neurobiology from the University of Oregon. A post doctoral fellowship followed, first at the University of Texas at Austin, and then in the Institute for Neuroscience at the University of Oregon.
After several years as a researcher in the field of biological rhythms, Hudson made the transition to administration, first at the department level, then the center level, and now, the university level. He is currently the Associate Vice President for Research. In addition to research enhancement activities, he works with the Institution IRB's, and oversees a range of research compliance activities. For fun, he pilots small, single-engine aircraft and plays bass (not at the same time).
