Greetings,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Office of Graduate Student Diversity Programs at the University of Virginia. The office exists to enhance the diversity of the graduate student population, create a culture of support, and to serve as a resource for administration, faculty, staff, and graduate students on matters of diversity. In addition, the office coordinates recruitment and retention efforts across the University's 10 graduate schools, supports graduate student organizations, and serves as a liaison between U.Va. and minority-serving institutions. I happily invite you to learn more about the office, through our website, or by contacting a member of our staff. Furthermore, we would love to discuss with you how the University of Virginia is an institution of excellence striving for and committed to increasing diversity in graduate education and how it can serve your needs as a graduate student. We are on an exciting journey and would love for you to come along!
