Mission: The mission of the Office of Graduate Student Diversity Programs is to promote a diverse and supportive graduate student community and to be a central resource for issues relating to graduate diversity at the University of Virginia. We fulfill this mission by:

Creating centralized web-based resources on graduate student diversity

Disseminating graduate school information at over 25 graduate forums around the country

Representing graduate student diversity on national and university committees

Providing support services for graduate studies in recruitment, retention, and mentoring

Serving as an advocate for enhancing relationships between U.Va. and minority-serving institutions

Encouraging the development of cross-curricular programs and initiatives that enhance relationships between students
