U.Va.'s First Annual National Postdoc Appreciation Day Reception

Postdoctoral Programs in the Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to invite all postdocs (Research Associates and Postdoctoral Fellows), faculty, and research administrators to attend the U.Va. National Postdoc Appreciation Day Reception:

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 4:00pm – 6:00pm

VARSITY HALL MAIN FLOOR

Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

1) Members of the newly formed Postdoctoral Programs Faculty Advisory Board will be introduced.
2) Four outstanding postdocs will win gift certificates to local restaurants. (Please see attached call for nominations.)
3) One door prize drawing (all postdocs eligible) will be held for a Chef’s Table dinner at Mas Tapas.

Postdoc Seminar Series

Beginning in June 2005, Postdoctoral Enhancement Programs initiated a seminar series for postdoctoral fellows and associates at the University. The series aims to provide the postdoctoral community with information and resources above and beyond that provided through individual departments and principal investigators (PIs). Below is information on past and future seminars. Where available, links have been provided to materials presented by speakers (*.pdf). If you are a postdoctoral fellow or associate and would like to suggest a seminar topic, please e-mail postdoc-at-virginia.edu.

All seminars are held in Jordan Hall, Rooms 2ABC from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.
