Re: UVa's Strategic Direction: Address and Q&A with President Sullivan
I write to invite you to attend the next Faculty Senate meeting on Monday, February 3, at 3 p.m. in the Harrison Small Auditorium (Special Collections Library). At that meeting, President Sullivan will address the group regarding the University's new strategic direction.
There will be an opportunity for Q&A following her remarks. Joining President Sullivan during the Q&A session will be Donald Brown to address any topics regarding the Data Sciences Initiative and Everette Fortner to address any topics regarding his work to enhance career services and the student experience. Don Brown is a professor with the Department of Systems and Information Engineering. Everette Fortner is Executive Director for Professional Development at the Darden School and is currently serving as Special Assistant to the Vice President and Chief Student Affairs Officer.
The second hour will include a "town hall" discussion with Chip German, Project Director in the Office of the Vice President for Management and Budget, regarding the University's new financial model.
Light refreshment will be provided. The meeting is open to the public, as all Faculty Senate meetings are, but I would like to especially encourage you to attend this one.
