THIS WEEKEND
Going to Foxfield? Please be Safe
Above all else, take care of yourself and your friends. Say something if a friend’s behavior concerns you.
* If you choose to drink, bring a valid ID, make sure to eat throughout the day, and stay hydrated. Alternate nonalcoholic beverages with those containing alcohol.
* If you have concerns about a friend’s safety, do not hesitate to get medical help. Trust your instincts! The First Aid Station will be located next to the airplane hanger by the West Gate.
* Stay in a group and make a plan for getting home safely. Use a sober driver or another safe means of travel. City buses will be running before and after the races. Pick-up times and locations: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from the Chapel, Scott Stadium and the Park (near the JAG School). Return times: 4 to 7 p.m., returning to these same three locations on Grounds.
* Remember, this is not a U.Va.-sponsored event. State and local law enforcement have said their presence will be increased dramatically this year.
