Take a break from studying for exams. Come get a massage, cup of tea, food on the plaza, all for free. Newcomb Hall will have quiet study rooms, free pool, and more during exams. See our flyer for more details

Chuck It for Charity 2006: Don’t Dump, Donate
Now through May 8
As you move out during exam week, don’t dump – donate. Bring reusable items, clothing, and non-perishable food to sites located in on-Grounds housing areas. Indoor sites will be open all week, and outdoor sites also will be available. All locations are listed on our Web site.

Lost and Found
All students are reminded that the University Police maintain a Lost and Found. If you have lost anything this semester (from an iPod to an ID card) stop by the Police office on Ivy Road before leaving Grounds for the summer.

Off-Grounds Recycling Project
Help others in our community by donating your unwanted household items to the Salvation Army on May 25. A Salvation Army truck will be located at the following locations:

Basketball Intern Wanted
The U.Va. Athletics Media Relations Office seeks a student intern to assist with the coverage of women’s basketball for the 2006-07 season. Duties include, but are not limited to, writing press releases, distributing results, posting to the Web site, coordinating interviews, etc. Applicants must be dedicated U.Va. students with good writing skills. Wilson Journal of International Affairs: Get Published
Final Deadline: June 1
The Wilson Journal of International Affairs is seeking submissions for its next issue. The Journal focuses on student research in areas directly pertaining to international relations, and papers are chosen to reflect the best of U.Va. scholarship. Submissions should be sent to us via e-mail. Papers submitted should be at least 10 pages in length and have received a grade of B+ or better. For more information, visit our Web site.

Verdi’s La Traviata
May 7, 3:30 p.m, Paramount Theatre
The Oratorio Society of Charlottesville-Albemarle is performing Verdi’s La Traviata. This is sure to be an excellent performance, with professional soloists and orchestra and sung in Italian with super-titles projected above the stage. All seats are reserved. Free Moving Mountains Film Screenings
May 2 and 3, 7 p.m., Newcomb Theatre, Free Admission
Watch a documentary by Virginia Bendl Moore that surveys the issues surrounding Mountaintop Removal coal mining in West Virginia as told by the people most directly affected. Approximately 30-minute run-time followed by a Q&A session with the director. Contact us with questions.

SUR Magazine Re-Launch
Can’t get enough of Latin American culture/politics/language? We need your help. After a two-year hiatus, we are bringing back the University’s only Latin American magazine. If you want to get involved with any part of the creative and layout process, contact Elio or Mariana to join the re-launch team next fall.

PCOS Study
The OB/GYN Department at U.Va. Health System seeks women, ages 18 to 43, with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) for an alternative medicine research study. This 16-visit study investigates acupuncture’s influence on monthly periods. Blood-sugar fasting tests, blood draws and questionnaires are involved. Bicycle Use Questionnaire
The Office of the Architect, in coordination with the Green Grounds Committee (a student-run CIO), is assessing bicycle usage on Grounds.
