ITC Assistive Technology Resources

 

UVa provides Kurzweil 3000 to any member of the UVa community. The "Learn Station" version is available through the UVa Hive and a version for the Mac OS can be downloaded from ITC Software Central and installed on your computer. The "Color Professional" version is available on the Windows platform. This can be accessed at the scanning station in the ITC Public Lab on the 4th floor of Clemons Library, or it can be installed on your computer if certain criteria are met. Headphones are available at the circulation desk in Clemons. More information on the services provided by the UVa Library can be found at Disabled Patron Services.

 

Topaz Desktop Video Magnifiers are available in the following locations: the Brown Science & Engineering Library in Clark Hall; Alderman Library Government Reading Room; Clemons 4th Floor; and the Music Library in Old Cabell Hall. Pico Handheld Magnifiers are available for checkout at the circulation desk in the following libraries for use within the library: Clemons, Alderman, Brown, and Music.
