Staff at the University of Virginia who are creating Web pages for their department should put those pages on the server appropriate for their department. Some departments have their own servers that are used for this purpose. Ask your department if it provides this capability. U.Va.'s Web Communications Office (WCO) offers a wide range of services to many administrative offices and academic departments of the University. WCO assists many departments in- developing new sites/ redesigning existing ones.
- ensuring Web sites are compliant with general U.Va. Web policies, including ADA compliance, mandated by the state and federal government, and appropriate use of the University's logo.
- ensuring that Web sites are error-free and compatible on multiple browsers (IE, Netscape, Firefox) back to 4.x, and compatible on both PCs and MACs.
