(Map G, Building 11 [D4])

Clark Hall is currently home to the Department of Environmental Sciences, which offers instruction and conducts research in ecology, geosciences, hydrology, and atmospheric sciences. It is also home to the Brown Science and Engineering Library. The building was designed by the University's Architectural Commission and opened as the School of Law in 1932. The building was funded by attorney William Andrews Clark Jr. (Col 1899) as a memorial to his wife, Mabel Foster Clark. The building contains two murals, allegories on Mosaic and Roman law, by Allyn Cox, whose work also appears in the United States Capitol. An addition to Clark Hall, completed in 2003, increased office, laboratory, and technology space for Environmental Sciences.
