(Map A, Building 18 [A4])

Halsey Hall is home to the Department of Statistics, serving graduate students. The building was designed as a naval armory and completed in the 1950s. The building is named in honor of Fleet Admiral William F. "Bull" Halsey, who attended the University of Virginia Medical School in 1899 and helped University President Colgate Darden conduct a fundraising campaign in 1948.
