Requirements
Declaring a Major or Minor
To prepare for declaring the major/minor:
1) Read over the requirements and consider the current listing of SWAG courses to determine those you might be interested in.
2) Obtain a current copy of your Virginia Student Academic Audit (VISTAA) from the Student Information System (SIS).
3) Obtain a copy of the Declaration of Major form from the SWAG office (227 Minor Hall) or print a copy of the Declaration of Minor form.
4) Complete the Major Advising Worksheet or Minor Advising Worksheet.
5) Complete the Student Information Form.
6) Contact the SWAG Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUP) and make an appointment to review your completed forms.
The SWAG DUP will help you determine which courses you will need to take and assist you with
any questions you might have regarding the major or minor. The DUP will then establish a file for your records, and forward your approved "Declaration of Major" or "Declaration of Minor" form to the College of A&S in Monroe Hall.
