The IC is a unit of the U.Va. International Studies Office which is committed to the internationalization of the University. Since its founding in 1972, the International Center has promoted inter-cultural awareness and respect by providing a comfortable environment for the sharing of cultures.

The Lorna Sundberg International Center offers:

• programs and services to enhance the experience of U.Va.'s international undergraduate and graduate students, research scholars, faculty and families
• opportunities for intercultural exchange and enrichment for members of the University and the greater Charlottesville and Albemarle communities

Inclement Weather Policy
If either Albemarle County (296-5886) or Charlottesville City schools are closed due to snow or bad weather, then all group meetings and events will be canceled at the International Center. For programs held on weekends please call the IC (924-7983) for the status of event.
