Welcome to the website of the Society for Behavioral Neuroendocrinology (SBN). The SBN promotes intellectual exchanges between basic scientists studying interactions between behavior, genes, and neuroendocrine systems. We are interested in a large variety of normal behaviors; reproduction, eating and drinking, responses to stress, learning and memory, aggression and parental behaviors. Studies like ours of natural behaviors can shed light on behavioral disorders which often have strong genetic and/or hormonal components. SBN researchers study these interactions from the behavioral to the molecular level, in laboratory, field, and/or clinical settings, using a variety of animal models. This rich mixture of ideas and approaches can be enjoyed at our annual meetings.
