Welcome to Virtual Grounds
We are facing an unprecedented moment in history that has disrupted nearly every area of modern life – including visits to college campuses. We know there is no substitute for setting foot on the University of Virginia’s Grounds; we cannot replicate what it is like to stand on the steps of the Rotunda and look down the Lawn toward Old Cabell Hall – just as we cannot recreate the taste of a freshly baked bagel from Bodo’s on The Corner. But, in the spirit of our institution’s long history of responding to crisis with innovation and optimism, we are not going to let these obstacles stop us. While we wish we could welcome you to Grounds in person, we invite you to take a virtual tour. Hear directly from our tour guides about their favorite parts of UVA – including everything from their favorite study spots to hidden corners of Grounds – and get a feel for what makes the University of Virginia an institution unlike any other.
