Integrated
Systems Task Force (ISTF)
The University established the ISTF to research and make recommendations
regarding how to replace its aging administrative information systems
with an integrated group of software applications. |
 |
Vendor
Evaluation and Selection Process
Task Forces determined what the University wanted from the software
applications in terms of functionality and best business practices,
ultimately producing Strategic Direction
Statements. RFPs were developed and software and implementation
vendor demonstration scripts were written. |

SOME HISTORY
As part of the
Integrated Systems Procurement project, finance, human resources,
and student systems task forces met from November 1997 through January
1998 to discuss future directions for administrative processes and
systems at the University of Virginia. The resulting beliefs and vision
for the future outlined in the resulting Strategic
Direction Statements were intended to help guide selection of
a software vendor and implementation partner and to inform current
and future process reengineering efforts at the University. |
