Criminal Analysis Reporting and Evaluation for Students (CARES)
The purpose of the team is to help the Office of the Dean of Students in its efforts to know about any criminal acts committed by University of Virginia students. Specifically, the team will focus on procedures and processes to report and track undergraduate and graduate student arrests and convictions for all criminal offenses, excluding minor traffic violations. This information is essential for the Office of the Dean of Students to evaluate whether or not students engaged in criminal behavior pose a threat to the community.
The CARES team submitted its final report in September 2005.
