You can request a transcript in three different ways: on-line, by mail, or in person. We're sorry, but we are unable to accept transcript requests by telephone, fax, or e-mail.

  • Transcripts cost $5 per copy
  • Transcripts include all coursework attempted at the University
  • Transcripts cannot be produced for anyone whose record is being held by Student Financial Services because of a past-due financial obligation or by the Honor Committee because of a pending trial
  • For UVa-sponsored international study programs, special programs, or records from prior to 1904, see details here
  • Click here to see the transcript key, printed on the back of the official transcript
  • Unofficial transcripts of coursework taken since 1985 can be viewed and printed through ISIS Online. Once logged into ISIS, select "Transcripts" under the "Credits/Grades/Honors" section. Alumni who do not remember their ISIS password can have their access reset by calling 434/924-4122 or e-mailing isis@virginia.edu. This unofficial transcript is acceptable for Echols applications.
  • Are you receiving a degree this semester? If so, transcripts ordered prior to the official date of graduation will not include your degree. Please wait until after your degree has been posted to ISIS to order your transcript if you want to have your graduation noted.
  • For information on obtaining international authentification (also known as The Hague Apostille) on official transcripts, contact the Virginia Secretary of the Commonwealth in Richmond.
  • For more information, please call 434/924-4122
